I haven't adopted, but have visited on a couple of occasions. The facility was nice, the staff was approachable and friendly. There were so many puppies there, that it had the "puppy for sale" feeling to it. Other shelters I've visited have a limited amount of puppies, but this almost gave me the feeling that they "shipped" them in to make some money. I could be wrong, but it was a turn-off to me. Otherwise, looks like they're doing a great job! Anyone who makes the time to save an animal is tops in my book anyway!

The reason our shelter has so many puppies is because we work with multiple rescues/shelters throughout the east/south. Our shelter is a LIFE line for other shelters where puppies are destined for DEATH or lifelong miserable existence living in a shelter - much like a warehouse. We are fortunate enough to have open minded adopters who realize how much a part of changing these puppies lives for the better...versus the cruel and meager life they faced.... if life at all.
Just for the fact that we may have had half a kennel of puppies breaks my heart to realize that THOUSANDS more were euthanized because they were left behind or weren't rescued in time...
The ones in our kennel truly ARE the lucky ones...
