Pros: Dedicated volunteers who are willing to give their all to help our animals. Whatever it takes
Cons: Small town, limited resources. Wish we could save more animals
Second Chance is a shelter that is filled with some of best people on the planet. The mission of all here is to find the greatest, most caring, loving, forever homes that we can be found for our animals. In the meantime, there is complete and unending dedication to make their temporary stay at the shelter as comfortable and filled with affection as possible. There is no limit to what the volunteers will do and sacrifice of their own time to make this happen. The animals get not only care, food, shelter, water, and comfortable living spaces, but they are showered with attention and love every day.
If I were a dog, and I was left "homeless", this would be the first place I would ask to be taken.

Second Chance Animal Shelter is more than a Rescue Shelter for stray, surrendered, or abandoned animals. It is a family. A family of humans who share the same passion and love of all living creatures. When you become part of the Second Chance Family , as a volunteer, an adopter, a doner, or even just a visitor, you have entered into a close knit extended family that will be there for you and your pet for its' lifetime. This is not your ordinary animal rescue. This is family and friendship that is always there to support each other.

I totally agree with what Joe has to say. I have never seen so many people pouring all that affection to these lovely animals. They are "my kind of people".
