Second Chance is a shelter that is filled with some of best people on the planet. The mission of all here is to find the greatest, most caring, loving, forever homes that we can be found for our animals. In the meantime, there is complete and unending dedication to make their temporary stay at the shelter as comfortable and filled with affection as possible. There is no limit to what the volunteers will do and sacrifice of their own time to make this happen. The animals get not only care, food, shelter, water, and comfortable living spaces, but they are showered with attention and love every day.
If I were a dog, and I was left "homeless", this would be the first place I would ask to be taken.

Second Chance Animal Shelter is more than a Rescue Shelter for stray, surrendered, or abandoned animals. It is a family. A family of humans who share the same passion and love of all living creatures. When you become part of the Second Chance Family , as a volunteer, an adopter, a doner, or even just a visitor, you have entered into a close knit extended family that will be there for you and your pet for its' lifetime. This is not your ordinary animal rescue. This is family and friendship that is always there to support each other.

The growth that Second Chance has made in the past several years is amazing. Everyone there has a special instinct about the animals and show them love, as though every dog and cat were their own. Second Chance deserves many cudos and much community support for all the wonderful work they do. If you're looking for a 4-legged family member, this is the best place you can come to!
I couldn't agree with everyones praise about Second Chance. I adopted a beautiful & wonderful dog from them just a few months ago. The shelter & Joe took the time & found my family the "perfect fit". It is hard to imagine life without her. I have received NO STOP support from them as well. From traing, to what food would be best. They truly have 24 hour support. Many thanks to second chance for making our family that much happier! GOOD LUCK!
