Review Details
We are so very fortunate to have Second Chance in our area. It was created on the dream of one woman who knew that it was needed and knew she could make it happen - and she did - thank you, Sheryl.
The care, knowledge and concern that is shown there every day by the volunteers is beyond compare. From abandoned & surrendered dogs and cats - to bunnies, to ferrets - they are loved and cared for as if they were their own pets. And what more can you say, or what more could you want than that for these loving creatures who give us all that & so very much more. Please come & visit and offer your support.............

I have been very fortunate to be a volunteer with Second Chance for many years - even before we had an actual shelter building - when all the cats/kittens were in Diane's basement and her first group of "cat people" were formed - when we placed all the dogs in foster homes as there was no building to house them.. to the first of many fundraisers to make Sheryl's dream a reality - to the grand opening of our building (which immediately became too small!) to watching the group of volunteers grow, to seeing the school outreach program start, to see Sheryl travel to New Orleans after Katrina - the list of accomplishments for these people and this very small shelter just continues to grow. At the backbone you still have Sheryl, Diane, the original Board of Directors (one of which spends most of his time making the dogs very happy with his daily visits, walks, rides and cleaning duty (Thank you Joe), Lisa our Webmaster:) I wish I had the right words to convey what Second Chance means to the surrounding area - and beyond - we have adopters come from Maine, New York and everywhere in between - we have an outreach program which is small but growing - we have dreams of doing so so much more and we need the means to make it all come true. I give Second Chance 5 stars in every category and once again I invite anyone who can to come & visit - see what the shelter is all about - make Second Chance your second home as so many of us have - See what it means to give a little love to these pets and get a lot of love and so much more in return :) You will never regret walking through the door - I promise you that. Hope to meet you soon!

The response to the zootoo makeover has been amazing and I want to thank everyone connected in any way to Second Chance that is supporting this effort. We are all so very lucky to have ties to "our" shelter - and the work & determination we are all pouring into this contest will come back to reward us & all of our adoptable pets. And for those of you who don't know us yet - please come & visit - you will be so glad that you did!!
Go zoocrazy :)

Absolutley! I'm commenting in order to commend the many other volunteers I have met at Second Chance. Sheryl is very knowledgeable and so motivated...developing so many needed programs. Diane is all heart. I, too, volunteered in her basement to help take care of the cats...for the catlady who is actually allergic to them! Both Diane and Sheryl do what it takes and inspire us all.
Hello to all my Fellow Second Chance Zootooers - well the countdown is on and we really need everyone to jump in and do those reviews, read those news comments and discuss them - update your photos of your pets with products or services offered on Zootoo - we can use all the help we can get to maintain our place in the top 20 - we have dropped to # 3 in the standings with #4 close on our heels:) Please come out in force and show your support for YOUR shelter :) Thanks to all ! Sheila
