Washington Ferret Rescue and Shelter

as a former employee of a public shelter that could take in but NOT adopt out ferrets, this rescue was a godsend. Didn't matter if we had a young, docile, perfect ferret, or one aged and bald from adrenal disease, a rescue representative (Usually Cara Quinn) could be at the shelter at the drop of a hat to rescue the little weasel in need!

Pros: these folks know their polecats!

Cons: often overwhelmed... but that's the nature of rescuing!

This rescue and shelter provides a truly needed service for ferrets who find themselves without a home.

The staff is very caring and knowledgeable and tries to make each ferret as comfortable and content as possible.

We have adopted 4 ferrets from the shelter now and are very pleased that they had the care they needed before they came to join our family.

Pros: caring staff, time spent with each ferret

Cons: shelter needs more space
