Celebrating 20 years of service to the animals of Central and Eastern Oregon, the Humane Society of Redmond offers many outreach programs to the public. Founded in 1987, HSR is dedicated to helping animals and people. Each year, over 3000 animals are served , hundreds of reports of animal abuse and neglect are investigated and children are taught humane education. Providing evacuation assistance during fire season

HSR provides a great service to local residents during fire season. When Central Oregon starts blazing, HSR provides evacuation assistance, animal rescue, and sheltering services for the pet owners in the affected areas. This is truely a wonderful service for pet owners in the rural areas its serves.
