What a treat to find a best-kept secret, like FatKittyCity.org, run by the Agee Memeorial Wildlife Fund. Group is all volunteer....No fat cat salaries here, ha ha. Beautiful facility, very clean and fresh./ Cats have oodles of room to romp and play at the facility. It is a private facility, with no government or large support. Being a no-kill facility, they can only take in as many pets as they have funds for. But, they have plenty of room to expand, with future funding. They have four or five "houses" where each animal can have a heated and cooled facility to rest in, complete with couches, stairs up from the first floor to the second floor, play things and toys for entertainment. You must see this place, as there is no other like it on planet earth. Cindy Minghelli and her husband run this loving sanctuary, along with a cast of wonderful volunteers. They are able to taken in, rehab and retrain animals, then adopt them out to the public, thereby saving hundreds and hundreds of "little furry ones" each year. Tireless efforts go into this Northern California sanctuary, located in El Dorado Hills, California
Pros: Great group of volunteers and Cindy Minghelli. who works tirelessly to help all the little animals that are in need. Beautiful facility with state-of-the-art concept of room for the cats and dogs, lots of trees, room for them to run and play. Neat people and a great place!!!
Cons: Can only take in as many cats and dogs as they have money to support. Need more help from the public
