Fairmont Animal Shelter

This is a nice shelter and always has plenty of cats and dogs looking for homes. This is a great place to adopt from

This haven is run by volunteers who lovingly give of their time AND money to support this shelter. They do the best with what they have, but with vet bills topping $3,000.00 a month, and not enough cages for all the animals, things can get dicey at times.
In the long, hot summer months, the trailer that houses the cats bakes in the hot sun; no air conditioning, no windows for cross ventilation, the lights are kept off to help keep them cool, but with temperature reaching into the three digits, their is no respite for them.
The dogs have it no better. Their cages slabs of concert, half in the sun, half indoors again with no air circulation they can either stay inside where there is no air, or go outside on the hot concrete.
The winter is just the opposite problem, no heat in either facility. The volunteers are very good at feeding and grooming the animals, socializing and making sure to their health, but it's just beyond their means to actually improve the shelter. Please, if you can, help. Thank you
