Yavapai Humane Society

we adopted a cat from here once and they were all wonderful and the staff was great! I would deffinatly adopt from again if we move back to Arizona anytime.

Two of my cats came from the Yavapai Humane Society (one was wild, and I took her in when she was very young). This place is always very clean, and very prompt in addressing what it is that you're looking for. The staff goes out of their way to spend time with all of the animals in the shelter, assuring that when they go to a home, they will be friendly and well socialized. When doing this, they keep a record sheet (rather like a report card) to report their progress from the time they arrive to the time they find a home. They have recently undergone renovations, and the place looks amazing!

I recommend this shelter to anyone in Yavapai county looking for a new furry friend.

They occasionally even have small animals like rabbits and mice for adoptions.

I have recently moved and will miss this shelter!

Pros: Not open on mondays.

Cons: Helpful, friendly. Healthy, well socialized animals!
