Driving Directions

We are located near Chambers and 32nd Ave in North Aurora, Colorado. Traveling northbound on Chambers from Colfax, we are the 2nd stop light past Colfax. Take a right (go east) and we are a quarter mile down the road on the south side past the Penkse truck plant.

We adopt out most domesticated animals such as cats and dogs. But every once in a while we get ferrets, rabbits, birds, and rodents that need to find good homes too.

Aurora Animal Shelter Wish List: kitty litter, blankets, towels, sheets, paper towels, bleach, laundry detergent, pet shampoo and conditioner, sponges, spray bottles, baby food (meat only), canned dog food, canned cat food, kitten and puppy chow, KMR (milk replacement for kittens), and Enfamil (milk replacement for puppies)

They don't care

posted 4 years ago

They don't care.
If they pick your cat up, they won't scan for a microchip. They don't respond if you call to report it, or if you think you see it on their site. They won't even give (or sell) you a box to take it home in. I was lucky to get my mine back.

Pros: they are unfriendly

Cons: No second chances for pet owners.

Small But Helpful

posted 7 years ago

My roommate lost his cat and the shelter was very helpful in offering suggestions to try and find him. It is a very small facility though so they can't keep too many animals.

Pros: Helpful

Cons: Small
