P.A.W.S. Shelter for Animals

I adopted Thursday (then called Grace) from PAWS in Kyle in 2005. She was kenneled with another dog for company, and their staff was really good about letting me bring my other dog down to meet her in an outdoor play area before adopting. They had a community cat room as well, where we could observe how she reacted to cats (unfortunately ,very differently in the shelter than at home) and a place where we could hang out with here. Their staff was very accomodating and helpful, and the kennels, while not fancy, were clean.

Pros: dogs treated well, community cat room

Cons: was a little hard to find

I adopted my chow/sheppard mix from Paws animal shelter back in 2001. He was abandoned in bag with his littermates out in the country and Paws took care of all of them. He has been the best dog I have ever owned and I will definitely be going to them in the future:)

Pros: No Kill
