We are ABKA members so when it comes to boarding, nothing is better then the old fashioned TLC of Special Pals staff. Our average canine kennel is 4'x12', with plenty of outdoor play time. We're even open Sundays.
Our low-cost vaccination program includes, heartworm, Feline Leukemia & FIV Testing, local spay & neuter referrals, always at low prices. Isn't that what best friends are all about?

Great place to get a pet

I went to this shelter when my dog got loose. Great place, very caring people. They are a little out of the way so not as trafficed as some, but I would recommend them.
Pros: great place to adopt a pet no kill shelter

My husband and I adopted Mumzey December second of last year. We had lost our cat, Kitty, after a 15 year mutual adoption. She was a stray. We lost her to old age in October. When we came in to the shelter we came to try and fill a huge void that Kitty left in our hearts. We were just coming in to take a look. Everyone was helpful and let us take our time getting to meet a few of the furry little orphans. My husband and I found an almost instant bond with Mumzey. She was exactly what we were looking for. We hated to leave her at the shelter so that our paperwork could be processed. She brings us joy each day. She is an intelligent, playful, sweet cat. We couldn't be happier. Thank you all so much for rescuing Mumzey for us! She's doing very well. We couldn't be happier.
Best of luck on the makeover. The shelter and the animals certainly deserve it.
Pros: Clean, good staff, all healthy looking animals.
Cons: The building could really use some work.
