Driving Directions
We are a humane society as well as the city shelter. We take in animals from 7 different counties. We assist animal owners with spay/neuter of their animals. We help people that receive home delivered meals by sending along dog and cat food for their animals. We adopt out to all over the state of Texas. We are currently fund raising to build a new building, to renovate our current building and to enclose our outside pens so that our animals will not be out in the weather when it is hot or cold.

They work hard

I know some of the people involved in this shelter and they are exceptionally dedicated to taking care of their charges and finding suitable homes whenever possible. They are good folks.
Pros: Thye have recently expanded the facility

On Sunday, February 4, 2007 I found a senior lady Chihuahua at this shelter through Petfinder.com
I live in Tulsa, OK and they worked with me to have one of their volunteers drive "Sissy" to Abilene, TX.
On Saturday, February 10, 2007 I flew from Tulsa, OK to Abilene, TX. I met a volunteer from the shelter, he was very nice, and I brought Sissy home!
Thank you to all the staff for the wonderful work you do!
