Humane Society of Pulaski County

We are located in Little Rock, Arkansas which is 1 of 5 states where animal cruelty is still not a felony. The HSPC has the only Certified Animal Cruelty investigater for the whole state of Arkansas. We need lots of help with expanding our shelter due to over-population of animals and not enough room due to no punishment for animal cruelty and Arkansas being full of puppymills. Our employees share their bathrooms with dogs and cats everyday. We also no longer have office space to do paperwork in, due to so many animals in our facility. We all have to do it in our lobby which is also most of the time filled with animals. Our shelter has lots of awesome volunteers to help and we always could use more.
