The Atchison Human Society works hard trying to get the pets adopted. They have had several fun and unique fundraisers.

A great place to find a cat or dog

the Atchison Humane Society is doing lots of good things to raise money for their shelter. They are a small shelter that does not get much traffic. They treat the animals good and care a great deal for them. I joined them on a Howl-o-ween dog walk and it was a great success. They put alot of effort into it and it showed. My next dog will come from the Atchison Humane society.
Pros: They are a no kill shelter
Cons: It don't smell good, but what shelter does
