We are a privately owned open admission shelter taking in approximately 4000 lost and unwanted pets a year. We accept all dogs and cats from Franklin County. We are very devoted to finding homes for these very deserving animals and are able to do this strictly through the donations of caring individuals. The workers and volunteers here love animals and we do our very best to make them happy while they are here. We have a large network of caring individuals helping to find homes for these sweethearts whose lives have been put into our hands. Won't you help us help them?

Adopting a Pet

I got my amazing dog BlackJack here. The staff were very nice and patient about it. They let us walk around with him out side at first, letting us get used to him. You have to pay about $120.00 to get a dog and all the extra vaccinations and such. They have a vet next door where you can get your new pet spayed or neutered, all of their shots, health examinations, and you get a microchip from the staff with all that. All of that for only $120.00!
Pros: amazingly nice staff,awesome dogs,sweet cats,so much more!
Cons: in need of the million dollar makover so bad ! the heating under the concrete broke, so the dogs only have blankets and towels to keep them warm in the winter!

Wish they would have won

This shelter has very caring people there and they really needed and deserved to win. I know several people who have adopted dogs and cats from there and they all praise the shelter. I wish them the best of luck and if I were a millionaare, I would build them a new shelter myself.
