Pet advocates
posted 5 years ago
This shelter saved my dog. She is a high energy mutt with a heart of gold. She looks like a Winn Dixie dog. I think Disney is looking for her. Foster Mom was terrific. My daughter was 10, not 12 like most other shelters prefer, when we adopted Bree. They didn't make me jump through 18 hoops to adopt. She is chipped, spayed and loved. Lisa
Pros: Friendly, caring
Cons: Middle of nowhere, but worth the trip

You've come a long way, baby!!
posted 5 years ago
This group of dedicated workers have come so far from where they started from. Just a handful of workers who wanted to be able to take care of dogs and cats so that they weren't automatically put to death. They had no place to take care of them except at their homes. Now at least they do have a building which is nice but needs to be bigger. I sincerely hope that they will be fortunate enough to win the makeover. They really deserve it.
Pros: Hard working personnel
Cons: can't think of any

The best caring shelter around
posted 5 years ago
Since Pets without Parents has taken over the local shelter it is the best. They do the best work that they can with what little they have to work with. I just hope and pray that they win this contest. They need the money so bad to build a bigger and better shelter. The one that they have now is WAY to small.
Pros: great
Cons: need more volunteers

Good people
posted 5 years ago
They have really turned the shelter around in just one year. They have done a great job of cleaning the place up and bringing down the kill rate. Bravo to them, and may they keep up the good work.
Pros: love animals
Cons: don't have the money they need

Keep up the good work
posted 5 years ago
Not realizing how bad the conditions were in Mason County for stray, abandoned, and unwanted animals, I applaud this group of volunteers for coming to the rescue of the animals. I know the volunteers in Logan County have been working to obtain and run a facility for animals and the joining of forces of these 2 adjacent counties can only strengthen their efforts. Keep up the good work.
Pros: Always put the animals first
Cons: Location and size
