I adopted my cat from the shelter. He was declawed on all fours and dumped, when a resident brought him to a local vet. He had been out in the cold and had a URI. Pets Without Parents came to the rescue and nursed him back to health. He was on antibiotics for 4 months and had an expensive vet bill.

Pets Without Parents puts the animals first, and if they are adoptable, they will do their best to treat and ge them ready for adooption.

Mason County animal shelter is making history! Since Pets Without Parents took over the management of the county shelter it is the first time the animals are being cared for properly and getting homes! They now have food and water on a regular basis, temperature controlled environment, lots of exercise and love and a second chance at life!!

Cons: Shelter is small and in very poor condition

The people there in Illinois seem to have really upgraded this facility. Great that they lowered the percentage rate of euthanasia.

Pros: They seem to have come a long way in only three years.

Cons: They still are a kill shelter.

Since Pets Without Parents has been in our community they have helped hundreds of animals - what a wonderful organization. Not only do they foster and find homes for dogs and cats they also educate the community about the importance of spay and neutering and all around animal care. Our furry friends have "angels" all around the County that are working hard to find them homes and make their lives better. Thank you for all of your hard work!

I work for PWP and I know first hand the time and effort we poor into our group everyday.Most of us do not get paid and end up spending our own money saving animals. We foster in our own homes and also manage our local shelter.As far as dedicated staff ,I don't think we could be beat.

We are so pleased to hear we are part of the tour and quite excited to have Zootoo and friends coming to our little shelter.I want to thank Zootoo and Founder Richard Thompson for this wonderful opportunity. I enjoyed reading the news articles on Zootoo although they could be depressing at times, the articles remind us of why we need to continue to fight for animal rights and their well being.
