This shelter is a very good shelter my Aunt adopted a pet from here and he is just great!

Pros: Great pets

Cons: Very smelly sometimes

When I walked in there the first time, I cried. Just seeing all the homeless animals. It is so hard to just pick one. I wanted to take them all. We kept walking past Madison's pen. She was super quiet, not barking, no excitement at all. She was left there when she was 9 months old and had been there for 2 months. There was something special about her, her eyes staring at you were so heartfelt. We took her in a room to see her, and still nothing. But as soon as we got on her level, she was all over us. It was great. The staff did help us the best they could with our questions, but if the people who dropped her off lied on the cards, who knows what we could be in for. They told us she was housebroken. As soon as we got her home, she did use the bathroom in our home a few times. At times we didn't know if we picked the wrong dog. But with hard work everything worked out. We had gone to basic training with her and that helped a lot. We have now had her going on 2 years and I would never trade her for the world. We are still working on little flaws here and there, but that doesn't matter. We just found out she has over 18 allergies, so she is on special foods and may have to take allergy shots come spring. But she is worth it. It isn't her fault she has allergies and we will do whatever we can for her. With the shelter though, just recently we brought in a 40 plus pound bag of Canidae dry food and a large bag of treats from Dr Fosters and Smith for donation. We stood in line, and the lady at the counter asked if it was a donation, told her yes, she said "just put it over there". No thank you or anything. I was upset with that. I know it goes for a good cause, but do you think they could of been more appreciated by our gesture? I could of went to another shelter. It just bothers me.

Pros: Accepts strays 24 hours a day 7 days a week

Cons: Customer service could be more pleasant
