FeLV+, FIV+, encephalopathy, cerebral palsy, cancer...at most shelters, these conditions are death sentences. But not at Witty Kitties. These folks allow animals who are at risk due to their medical condition (and/or species/size...large reptile/amphibian) to live out their natural lives and receive appropriate veterinary treatment to the very end. A blessing!

Witty Kitties is an amazing place. It is the only place that I know of where a sick kitty can live out it's life. Cat colonies are set up with cats with FIV and feline luek and care is given until the animals are no longer experiencing quality of live. The Vet care is awesome and the volunteers who work with these animals are kind and loving and tireless.

This is a one of a kind sort of place!

Pros: Awesome people, animals that need a special place, excellent care

Cons: none -except there needs to be more places like this!
