Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown

Marshalltown's Animal Rescue League is the main animal shelter in the area. A few years ago, they went through a major renovation, so now they have terrific spaces for the cats and dogs that they have. They also have beautiful socializing rooms where families can take a potential pet and get to know it, as it gets to know them. They do a great job taking care of the animals and trying to find them good homes. The managers of the Animal Rescue League do many activities in the community to raise awareness and money for their services. I personally enjoy the Dog Jog in the spring and the Halloween Costume Contest in the Fall. My biggest wish is that they didn't have to put animals down if they have been there too long. I know it costs money and takes up space to keep animals that are not being adopted, but every animal deserves the opportunity to find a good home. I don't think that opportunity should be limited.
