Dogs are sold to research or suffocated in a gas chamber.

posted 5 years ago

The Mecosta County Animal Shelter is open to the public 15 hours a week Tuesday – Saturday, 9am to noon or by appointment only.
The county shelter is privately owned and operated by Ken and Susan Devries. The Devries’ choose to give/sell dogs from the Mecosta County Shelter to class-b random source research dealer Cherri Hill Kennel and Supply. Dogs that aren’t adopted or sold as research subjects are killed at the Mecosta County Animal Shelter in an outdated and inhumane gas chamber.

Pros: Humane policies and procedures could be put in place.

Cons: Dogs are sold to research or suffocated in a gas chamber.
