Great place

posted 6 years ago

The Allen County SPCA is a wonderful place. I adopted my cat Sammy from there. The staff were friendly and assisted me with selecting a cat that would meet my needs as well as his. If your in the Fort Wayne area and your looking for a pet, you should check out this shelter.

Pros: they helped me select the right cat for me.

Cons: there is limited parking.

The people are in it for the right reasons

posted 6 years ago

My husband and I had to, regretfully give up one of our dogs. This dog decided that he didn't like little kids and we had a newborn. The dog was, however, a WONDERFUL dog with adults. It tore our hearts out to have to give him up. The people at the Allen Co. SPCA were so caring and understanding. They gave us all the time we needed to say good bye and we so understanding of our feelings.

Pros: Super friendly and caring

Cons: Hours aren't the best and it is sometimes hard to get through on the phone.
