Great cat rescue

I really like this rescue/shelter. They do a lot for cats. They were the first cageless shelter I ever visited. They had a lot of stimulation for the cats, the cats were healthy, and they were doing a lot with what little they had. I tell everyone I know that lives out that way to go to ICS for a cat.
Pros: Very committed
Cons: too far away for me to volunteer

Bluhm County Park No Leash Dog Park

This is a great place to visit and let your dog romp and meet some friends. There needs to be more places like this. Outdoors and fenced in, it is a perfect place for exercise and socializing.
