Humane Society of Preble County

They have moved to a new shelter recently - their previous shelter was run down. Their new shelter is awesome! They have a lot of dog kennels and everything is kept clean. I adopted my Mia from this shelter when she was 10 weeks old. I came in toward their closing time. I looked at all the dogs and a young man told me I had to go. On the way out I asked about the Collie pups that were on their website. There was one little girl left and they let me stay after hours to play with her. She is the best dog ever! I am so thankful that they let me stay to meet Mia. I try to help them out when I can. They keep their website updated and always have great dogs! They take in all kinds of dogs no matter what the problem may be. They keep dogs for a long time so it seems their euthanasia rate is low. They need to get out there and let people know what an awesome shelter they have!

Have gotten a couple of fosters from this shelter. They were willing to help, and that says a lot.
