We love Chelsea!

posted 5 years ago

I found Chelsea at Stay-A-While about three years ago. It was our first time going there, and while I love and appreciate all no-kill shelters, this one is exceptional. The cats are free to roam in a house just for them, and the various personalities are kept in their own large, light, room with toys and things to climb and curl up in. There is a shy room, an active room, a special room for particularly adoptable cats, one for very young cats, etc. The women on the staff know them all and what they like and don't like, and if the cats have any problems they are totally honest about them.

Chelsea, who joined another cat at our house plus two dogs, is a sweetheart - the most affectionate cat I have ever had. I occasionally drop a note to Beth, the director of the shelter, and last year I supported financially for a year a cat who was unadoptable. I can't say enough good things about this shelter and the people who work there.

Pros: A kind and caring place where cats are loved. A wonderful home until they find their forever home.

Cons: You can't take them all!

A Good Extra Home

posted 6 years ago

This was a very nice place to take my cat. It was like a vacation for Tasha too.

Pros: A good clean facility

Cons: I cannot think of anything bad to say

This is a good place to get good care for your animal at very reasonable prices. Preventative care is tops as is care for sick or injured pets.
