I can never say enough about the Friendship Animal Protective League
posted 4 years ago
When my neighbor abandoned her cats, they took them in. Not all at once but the total came to around 17. Guess I should not blame it all on one person as sometimes people have the idea a quiet street in Avon is a good place to leave your responsibilities. Thank you APL for all the years you have been a service to this community.
Pros: Always helping animals to the best of their abilities
Cons: Need more money and space.

Friendship APL Elyria, OH
posted 4 years ago
The APL is a wonderful facility. The animals are well cared for and the almost all volunteer staff are extremely helpful. More people need to adopt these great animals into a forever home. Please check it out.
Pros: Friendship is a no kill facility.
Cons: Too many pets there...they need forever homes!

Love for animals
posted 4 years ago
This is a great shelter! We have visited it often to volunteer. Animals are always clean and well taken care of. I have never been afraid to take out any dogs and those dogs that need certain homes are always well marked. Obviously the emphasis is on finding forever homes not just passing them through the shelter.
Pros: very clean and well taken care of.
Cons: fenced in area to let dogs run needed

Gotta Love this Place
posted 4 years ago
With our economy struggling it is great to know that shelters like this exist. I refer anyone looking for a pet or that needs to give up there pet to Friendship APL. The rescue program with the county kennel is such a wonderful service to both the animals and the community. Nothing better than a rescued pet.
Pros: No Kill Shelter Dedicated Volunteers and Active Board
Cons: Adoption hours

Great place
posted 4 years ago
I went in to to look at a dog I saw online. When I went there, there were a number of people who were very helpful. I ended not taking the original dog home but brought home Wilma instead! I got my lasy dog from the Cleveland Kennel and he was the best dog. Wilma has added such love and laughter to my life!
Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: none
