Good service for community

I've been very pleased with the cats I've adopted from BHS. However, it is disappointing to choose a cat, fill out all the paperwork, only to find out you have to wait 4 days until it is spayed before you can take the kitten home.
Pros: Much needed service for the community
Cons: Could be friendlier and more informative

Excellent shelter, but maybe too picky.

This is a great shelter, but when I got my kitten there they really put us through the wringer! It's hard to spend about an hour filling out paperwork when there are free kittens everywhere. They should make it easier for people to make the right choice.
Pros: Knowledgeable staff
Cons: Too expensive, too severe
