Why I like animal aid
posted 6 years ago
animal aid volunteers go out of their way to help as many animals as they can, whether they're dogs, cats, or birds. animal aid helped me with my animals when one of the back to back hurricanes hit.
Tamera really lives what she believes and she told me once she doesn't eat meat because of the way that livestock is mistreated.
When economic times were better, she'd stay up at night trapping and having the feral cats get their shots and spayed or neutered. i don't think the shelter can afford to do that anymore. i used to bring them some of the feral cats that she would help. i don't think she gets much sleep. she lives for those animals. one day, i hope to be as good as she is with animals. it is a full time job with her, not including the full time job she already has.
Pros: dedication care effort love for animals
Cons: i wish i lived closer so i could help out more

Their facility is very small, so it seems messy and overcrowded. Otherwise, I had a wonderful experience when I adopted my dog from them last month.
Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: Small facility
