We are a no kill shelter, and the only shelter around that will admit any dog, no matter the breed or condition. We are located in a very rural county of South Carolina, where funds are limited, but dogs are plenty. We focus on finding forever homes for each and every one of our pets, and try to provide a temporary home that is healthy, happy, and enjoyable. Each and every dog is taken on a weekly walk, and is given time each day to stretch their legs. We would like it to be more, but with upwards of 70-80 dogs at any given time, we do the best we can.
Our dogs and cats are our life, and each and every one holds a dear place in our hearts, and hope they will in your as well. We even have dogs that after being adopted out, have run away from their new yards, just to come back to the shelter. We have two pups, Drop and Baby girl, who have mastered their own entrance and exit from the "walls" of the shelter, and come and go as they please. They greet all visitors with a warm and friendly welcome, and are a true representative for MAMAS.
Please stop by anytime to meet our wonderful crew!

Animal Angels

Everyone at M.A.M.A.s Shelter does an amazing job with the less than shoe-string budget that they are provided with. We can only imagine today the miracles that would happen more often if they were given adequate facilities and a decent operating budget. Without these kind people these furbabies would not even stand a chance at the life they deserve. The warm hearts, the love and care that they give each and every animal there goes above and beyond what you usually see at an animal shelter and our gratitude goes out to them. They are the most awesome people that do an amazing job with very limited resources. This is what they do as a labor of love and it shows in each furbaby that they are able to save.

Pros: They love all the animals

Cons: They need more City/Town-County-State-Country Funding!!!!!
