Animal Haven of Asheville

Barb and Trina run this shelter with a staff of volunteers. They not only take dogs and cats,but also farm animals.
I have worked with them through the prison program. They rescue two dogs each time from a local shelter. These dogs spend 8 wks.at the prison being socialized and taught basic obediance.Then they are available for adoption. The woman keep a log and are very knowledgeable about the dogs.
Barb and Trina screen potential adoptees very well for a good match and good home.

If a dog is not adopted after the time, the dog can stay in the program or be at the farm until they are adopted.

Animal Haven is such an asset to Asheville, every city should have a group like this.
