My only problem with the animal shelter is that they still euthanize animals. But they are very honest because we ended up having to take 1 puppy there because we couldnt find it a home but they said it had heartworms and couldnt be adopted. It was troubling but we couldnt take care of it so it felt as if it was the most humane thing. I dont mind euthanizing an animal if its necessary but not just because of overpopulation.

Pros: NA

Cons: NA

They are Great!

posted 8 years ago

I had a situation Sunday February 27,2008 where my neighbors let their dogs loose and they came into my yard and attacked my brothers Jack Russel Terrier with my son right next to him.Thankfully my husband and brother got them chased off before they did too much damage to him.I called and spoke with an Off.Blood who was very knowledgable knew of my neighbors and has had to deal with them for 13 years! He just gave them a public nuisance citing just 3 weeks ago and gave another to them today on my behalf. They do not have many traps but they had one to my house in less than 24 hours because of the situation and informed all of us to the laws of protecting our self and property. These dogs are a Chow,Walker Coonhound and german sheperd mix and black dog,the black one was not involved in the attack. They are constantly calling to make sure their has not been other attacks or threats made to us from them.

Pros: They were quick to respond to situation with my neighbors dogs.

Cons: They are highly underfunded albeit not all there fault
