I was horrified to find out that a friendly stray I brought to the shelter was killed within hours of arrival. The girl at the desk told me to call back in 2 days and by then it was too late for this poor kitty. I'd made it obviously clear that I was a concerned citizen who wanted to find a good home for this little guy we named "Mike."
She should have been honest with me. Instead she lied about their practices.
If she had told me the truth, I would have never let those butchers touch this little guy.
