Barb "the DIRECTOR" as she will yell to you several times before you get a word in has no social skills and would rather a dog sit in a cage for 3 more days than let someone adopt it that is going to love it. She claims her volunteers give out the wrong information and yells at you for it. She would be better off working at a womans prison!
Pros: nice selection of animals
Cons: BARB THE DIRECTOR HAS NO SOCIAL SKILLS

Great job!

THIS SHELTER DOES A TREMENDOUS JOB TRYING TO FIND HOMES FOR THE ANIMALS. THEY ARE A NO KILL SHELTER. THEY HAVE A FUND RAISER EVERY YEAR THAT I DONATE TO BECAUSE I KNOW IT'S FOR A GREAT CAUSE. I SEE THEM AT PET SMART ON SATURDAYS AND THE ONLY THING I WOULD ALSO SUGGEST IS POSSIBLY HAVING 2 FUND RAISERS A YEAR. PEOPLE LOVE ANIMALS AND CAN'T ALWAYS VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME BUT EVEN AROUND CHRISTMAS TIME MAYBE MAKE THE PHONE CALLS YOU NORMALLY DO IN THE SPRING OR HOW ABOUT PUTTING UP A CHRISTMAS TREE AT PET SMART FOR DONATIONS (IF ALLOWED). JUST A SUGGESTION BECAUSE I WOULD CONTRIBUTE.

Pal
posted 5 years ago
Barb is truly dedicated and it shows! My daughter is a volunteer at PAL, and she really respects what Barb is doing there. When we first got involved with the shelter I immediately noted how particular they are about the adoptive "parents". This shelter does not just want to get rid of their tenants, they want solid, knowledgable people to become her animals' families. PAL has a beautiful rural setting, and it needs this makeover so it can utilize the area to maximum advantage. For all the lack of building space, there is an abundance of love.
Pros: Caring, Happy Animals, Hard working,
Cons: Space

Pet Adoption League is tiny compared to some other shelters but the volunteers give so much love that the dogs and cats don't even realize they don't have their forever home. Pet Adoption League opened its doors when 8 wonderful dogs lost their master in an automobil wreck. They were all taken in and loving homes have been found for most. It is hard finding homes for traumatized dogs. But there is someone out there for everyone and WE will find that home for them and all animals at P.A.L.

Pros: So much love to go around. Everyone is loved equally.
Cons: More room is needed because Pet Adoption League opens its doors to all furry friends.
