Two successful adoptions!

posted 1 year ago

We adopted our first kitten from the Foundation in December 2011 in NYC at the Whiskers in Wonderland adoption event. We were immediately pulled to their table. All of their volunteers and staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great care for the cats and kittens. We visited them again in early April 2012 to find a sibling for our first kitten, and were able to see the actual Sanctuary, which looks like a cat's dream! There is such an obvious amount of care and love that goes into everyone's efforts there, and it really shows with how well socialized the cats and kittens are.

Pros: Super friendly, knowledgeable, and very well socialized cats and kittens!

Cons: none

Purr fect cat shelter

posted 1 year ago

The Patricia Ladew shelter is located in a seaside community, very pretty neighborhood. The shelter is in a multi level home converted into a feline penthouse. You will be greeted by many friendly cats each with a unique personality. All the cat tenants have their own special story and are there because they need that special someone to love them. The furniture is all cat friendly, when I went there I found a group of cats watching a large screen t.v.. Priceless. Yes,they were watching an animal channel. The cats and kittens are kept in quarantine until thy get a clean bill of health.so any pet that is adopted has already been given a complete health exam and testing. The shelter is bright and very clean. Dr Susan Whittred is one of the warmest people you will ever meet. She is a Cornell graduate and is an excellent veterinarian and very up to date on fe
Line medicine. The shelter also offers sponser ship for their feline residents In
Case you can't have a pet where you live. The shelter is well worth a visit whether you adopt a cat or not. I highly recommend this shelter to anyone interested in cats and kittens. They now have a low cost spay clinic located right behind the shelter that has just been built, It's beautiful and Dr.Whittredcwill be saving many lives in years to ome. This shelter is PURRFECt.
