How can you not like Sean?
posted 4 years ago
In Feb of 2007 on a Sunday, a friend and I found an stray and obviously dumped german shepherd in Cunningham Park. It took 2 hours of coaxing to capture this dog as he was very nervous. We took him to the Vetport to scan for a chip. No chip and not knowing what to do with him, the Vetport employee informed us that Sean was next door. We asked Sean to take him and he agreed. Sean named him Bear and found him a good home. Sean also assisted another friend with another stray. Luckily that dogs owner was found. Sean Casey stepped up for both of these dogs when other rescues wouldn't on a weekend no less. This guy is aces in my book.He has a heart of gold. Ten months after finding Bear, I adopted a puppy from Sean and it was the best thing I have done in a long time. I love my Max and am grateful to Sean for allowing me to adopt him. If you are looking to adopt a friend, I highly recommend Sean Casey's rescue. Its a great organization run by a great guy. And Theresa is doll too!
Pros: Great guy,great staff,great rescue
Cons: none that I can think of

Ya'll are awesome
posted 4 years ago
Lorena was super awesome when we came in to see their pets. She was also so willing, but not overwhelming about us taking our time with Gizmo. She was also quick to follow up with our references and in explaining to me step-by-step on logistics of the adoption. When I returned to follow up on paperwork, Sean answered all my questions and he even asked me some as well. He was was casual, but attentive and encouraged me to feel free to call or visit with any questions. I've been there a few times since and he even remembered me. Then almost two month later i bummed into Lorena and even though she wasn't on the clock she gave me some advice on Gizmo. Overall, Sean Casey Animal rescue has been really encouraging about pet ownership and not at all condescending, which I've experienced elsewhere. Lastly, from what I've noticed of them, they're all about community and community awareness. I'm all about this place.
Pros: super welcoming and open to answering question
Cons: could do with more space

Great job!

This no-kill rescue is a wonderful group. Their shelter space is next to ours. They not only rescue dogs and cats, they also are able to take in reptiles due to Sean's knowledge of how to take care of them and what to look for in a prospective adopter. He doesn't stop there though.. he's been known to take in a rabbit, guinea pig, bird - anyone who needs a home!
Pros: Lots - see below
Cons: none that I can think of

We won "The Dog Lottery" thanks to Sean Casey Animal Rescue!
posted 4 years ago
We rescued our Labradoodle, Henry, from Sean Casey Animal Rescue. They could not have been more wonderful during the entire process, helping us make our decision and the helping us prepare for the changes that having a dog would bring to our lives. Henry is a fantastic puppy, and we truly feel as though we won "The Dog Lottery" in rescuing him. Thanks to Sean, Theresa and the rest of the terrific staff at Sean Casey Animal Rescue.
Pros: Incredibly Knowledgeable, Helpful and Friendly
Cons: None
