Utah Lab Rescue is Utah's only Labrador Retriever Club and Rescue. We are located in Utah County, based out of Orem. We serve all of Utah, and surrounding States. The rescue is an "all volunteer" run program, and is ran by dedicated volunteers, and foster homes. Our goal is to educate, lower the rate of breeding in our state, increase the number of adoptions, and lower the extremely high percentage of purebred Labradors being euthanized in our local shelters each week. We adopt out purebred Labradors, Lab mixes, and other large sport breed dogs, such as Pointers, Spaniels, and Retrievers. Please visit our website at www.utahlabrescue.com

About the Rescue...
Utah Labrador Retriever Club and Rescue was founded in April of 2003. We are Utah's first and only Labrador Rescue in the State. There are many other rescue groups and organizations in the state, but we primarily rescue, and adopt purebred Labradors, Lab mixes, and other large sport breeds.

The Lab Rescue is ran by dedicated volunteers, and foster homes. The Rescue is primarily run from foster homes, which limits space and funding. Therefore, we are limited to how many Labs we can take in at a time.

Our goal is to educate the public about the Labrador Retriever and its over breeding and population here in Utah. Through this education we hope to lower the rate of breeding, increase the number of adoptions, and lower the extremely high percentage of purebred Labs being euthanized at our local shelters every week.

Most of the dogs we have up for adoption come from our local shelters. All dogs are screened for temperament before placed into a foster home, and adopted. All adopted dogs are vaccinated, microchiped, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and spay/neutered.

The rescue usually has around 3-10 dogs available, and a list of great Labs and other large sport breed dogs at local animal shelters. Age range can be from puppy to senior adult. Most are between 1-7 years of age. We take in purebred Labradors, Pointers, Shorthairs, Wirehairs, Retrievers, Spaniels, and of course mixes.
