My son and I found the most loving, beautiful Siberian Husky, Mitok through the South florida Husky Rescue.
They were wonderful in working with us long distance from Jacksonville to Ft. Lauderdale! We had a special need, as we had to have a dog that was cat-friendly, so they worked really hard to make certain Mitok had been around cats before they recommended him.
He had been abused, hit, didn't know what a treat was, wouldn't drink out of a water bowl, and ran anytime you had a long stick in your hand like a broom or a mop.
One year later, he is a very weill adjusted, happy dog who can't get enough dog treats, I can sweep right across his paws and he doesn't flinch, you can pet him without him cowering and he is just a lovable boy! Thank you for saving him from near death at the shelter, one day away from euthanization!
