I remember when TLC had a place to keep their rescues - floor to ceiling cages, all with several trees and lots of beds and toys, jazz music constantly playing. I actually felt sorry for the cats who were adopted. TLC is very careful with their wards and do an excellent job of screening. In return, adoptors get very clean (no ear mites, fleas, etc.) It is hard to believe that this is essentially a one person operation - one reason why TLC focuses on "strays" (abandoned house cats) and shelter cats rather than owner surrenders. Now that TLC has lost its space, they often have to scramble to find foster homes when there is no room in the inn.
