My experience there was great. we had recently had to put our 15 yr old dog, "Lady" down and wanted a replacement to fill the awful void we were all experiencing. We went there a couple of times, the first time my son was anxious to take home all the dogs there, but couldn't decide on one, the second time there we meet Frankie and it was a match right away.
After my great experience there, I convinced my brother that he needed a dog in his life and sure enough he went there and found Tommy, renamed Frasier.
The staff remembered us and were very helpful during the process of adopting both dogs, ours and my brothers and they now get together for play dates.
I feel like the Animal Shelter of Sterling is like an extended family.
