Lifesavers Rescue

I adopted a dog from LIfesavers Rescue in 2009, a 2 1/2 yo Pomeranian. Meeko is perfect, friendly, beautiful, and healthy. I answered the screening questions and filled out an application. Then I talked to them over the phone about Meeko. They are very careful about who they adopt out to, since as a rescue organization they need to make sure their dogs are adopted out to homes they will stay in for life, and they do everything they can to ensure this actually happens. The application was extensive, but thorough. Their prices are very reasonable: Meeko is a purebread and was $200 with all shots, spayed, no health problems at all, and worth much, much more. They care less about the money, and more about the lives of the dogs in their care. I drove 285 miles round trip to get her and the owners were great, friendly, caring, and very knowledgeable. They had some other dogs, and they were all very well taken care of, each with a sad story. They are committed to saving dogs, it was obvious when I saw how the dogs were cared for and treated when I visited them. My experience was a very good one. These people truly care about dogs. If I decide to get another dog, Lifesavers Rescue will be the first place I check.

Lifesavers Rescue is a top-notch rescue organization. When I've inadvertently located stray or abandoned puppies or dogs (in one instance, a mother and nine puppies living under an old van in a train yard), they've never failed to immediately 'step up'.
