If you can't afford to get your pet dog or cat spayed/neutered, call FFL and ask about their spay/neuter assistance program. You only pay a small amount and they supplement the rest of the cost. They don't have a physical location to go to - just call and leave a message - they are an all volunteer organization and will call you back. They do not support feral cat trap-neuter-return programs, so if you need help with feral cats go to the Sequoia Humane Society or the Companion Animal Foundation (who also issue spay/neuter vouchers for pets) or call the Humboldt Spay/Neuter Network or Bless the Beasts.
Pros: low-cost spay/neuter vouchers
Cons: do not issue for feral cats
