NIghtmare!

posted 1 year ago

I found a dog I wanted to adopt online at petfinders. I live 3 hours away from LA . When I contacted Heidi in Playa Del Rey who had the dog, she was adamant about driving her to me. I told her it was too far but she insisted. She told me the dog had fleas, which I told her was not a problem because I lived in the desert, So I gave Heidi $50.00 for her gas, which was more than enough. I paid $200.00 for the dog. After having the dog for two days I realized she was so eaten up with fleas she was sick and had chewed her tail to a bloody mess.. $108.00 to the vet. within 3 weeks, the dog bit me twice and almost killed my cat. I adopted her in the first place because Heidi told me she was good with cats (haha) .So I drove this dog all the way back 3 hours Heidi. I told her I could wait a few weeks for my money back. I was desperate to get her out of my house .So, after 10 unanswered emails and 7 unanswered phone calls I am aware she is going to keep all my money even after I have returned the dog. I believe they use dogs like this as a scam because they know people will return them. It is beyond me how people can use homeless animals in this way for personal profit. It makes me sick. If you want a sick animal and like being scammed call Catmandoo, Suzanne,Culver City, CA and Playa Del Rey, Heidi.

Pros: NONE

Cons: they are scammers using animals to make money

Kitten adoption

posted 2 years ago

I adopted a Kitten from them, when they were at the PetCo in Westchester! This poor kitten has been on 3 rounds of antibiocitc's, has been to the vet every week since the adoption, they still have not found a antibiotic strong enough to kill off the infection the kitten has! They should not be allowed to rescue nor charge for their service's, I have spent already close to $2,000.00 in vet bills and the kitten is still very ill! It is a shame they are giving legit reduce organizations a bad name! Now question we need to ask is what about the other kittens/cats that were in the same cage are they as ill, are the people who adopted them taking care of them or just throwing them out as so many people do! I am researching and contacting a lawyer so they lose their license since they don't seem to care about these animals more about the animal they collect for the adoption fee! They should make sure all the kittens/cats they are adopting out are not seriously ill, they said they ran test on this kitten, when I showed the paper work to my vet he stated they ran the test at such a found age of course it would come up negative! For those of you who love animals and can't stand to see them suffer please do not support this group since it appears they do not take care of these animals before finding homes for them!

Pros: Can think of a thing!

Cons: Adopts out very sick kittens
