Freedom Service Dogs Inc

The first time I heard of Freedom Service Dogs, I thought it was the most brilliant idea. The shelters are full of dogs just waiting for homes - what better place to find good candidates for service dogs? I am especially pleased as their "scouts" came looking at the shelter where I am a volunteer and adopted one of our beloved shelter dogs. This dog had been there for quite some time, and no one could understand why. A little quieter than most dogs, maybe he just got overlooked by potential adopters. We all knew he was fantastic, so when Freedom Service Dogs came and found him to pass all of their temperament tests with flying colors, we were overjoyed. I can't imagine a better group a with a better mission - save a dog to help a life.

This is a really great organization. Everyone I have dealt with has been really knowledgable. I think it is great that they use shelter dogs and turn them into service dogs.
