Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue is a network of volunteer professionals dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of white German shepherd dogs. We have no paid staff or facility; each of our dogs is kept in a foster home from the time of rescue until adopted into a permanent, loving home. We operate on a nationwide basis.

While in foster care, which is a minimum stay of two weeks (and usually longer), each dog receives a thorough medical and behavioral evaluation, treatment for all known conditions, is brought up to date on all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped and provided basic obedience training.

Each adoptive home is carefully screened prior to approval to adopt with reference checks and a home visit. After adoption, we provide support as necessary regarding any behavioral or health issues that emerge.

Our adopters become part of our family and community.

Forever Friends

posted 3 years ago

We adopted 2 White German Shepherds (WGS) from Echo Dogs, and I can’t say enough good things about them! Jake, and Ranger were adopted at different times so we worked with the organization through the adoption process twice. During the adoption process we got to know some of the volunteers. Wow, the volunteers we dealt with are just incredible. They truly care about the health, and welfare of the dogs, and work endless hours coordinating rescues, transporting, and caring for the neglected, abused, or simply thrown away WGSs. Yes, you have to complete an application, give references – which are checked, and a home visit is required prior to being eligible to adoption. I think the process is an excellent one. Too many people adopt pets without really thinking it through. Going through Echo Dogs’ vetting process (no pun intended), ensures the adopting person/family is committed to giving their dog the right fit for its forever home

Pros: Great insite about the dogs given prior to adoption

Cons: Honestly, none
