4 luv of dog

I was a volunteer with 4 Luv of Dog Rescue, developing and maintaining their current website. I recently unvolunteered to take some time for myself, but still assist by donating items/money and working on some of the fundraisers.

This rescue works very hard in screening potential adopters. You fill out an application first, listing various types of references. Your app is reviewed, the references contacted and THEN you have a home visit and one on one to see if you are really ready for a dog and if your home looks like it will be good for a dog, etc.

You have a two week period to see if you and your pet are a good match, AND, if problems arise in the future and you can no longer keep your new family member, you are requested to return the dog to the rescue.

I was an emergency foster home for them too, it was a great experience and I will do in the future when I can. Even emergency foster homes (for just a week or a few days) can help this group. They pull a lot of dogs from the area pounds, look at home many dogs they have compared to the other rescues (yes I know, the others have a lot of cats too).

Please consider donating household items to them for their rummages sales, you can write off the stuff on your taxes. Get rid of your clutter and help this rescue make a few dollars, it is so desperately needed.
