Wadena County Humane Society

In an area where there was little or nothing in support of animals, about 10 years ago (1998?) this small humane society appeared. It is small in comparison to many others, but this is a small county with an equally small population. The fact that there is a shelter in this area is a credit to the community. This small privately funded humane society seems to thrive with what must be an equally small budget. Well done so far, and hopefully will gather more support in the future. Please support your local humane society including this one.

Pros: Animal shelter that supports the surrounding communities.

Cons: I think it needs more support from the community in return.
