Animal Humane Society: Coon Rapids Shelter

Many years back my entire family volunteered at this shelter. They worked very hard to take good care of the animals, saw that the dogs were walked and socialized, as well as the cats and other smaller animals. They stood by strict rules about numbers of animals in homes. At one point there were just flooded with cats and many people of the community came together and helped out with the cats.
They have held seminars about all sorts of animals.
Good people there, not enough money or space. Pretty much the same story for most of the shelters I know of. They had to close down for a little while due to lack of funds, sad day that was. But they are open and operating once again.

Pros: Close. Checks to See How Many Pets a Person Has.

Cons: Cramped, needs help.
