The Christian Vegetarian Society

I believe this website does provide a service to the world community and to animals, and so this review is appropriate under rescue groups/organizations.

My parents became vegetarians years ago, beginning when my father had to have cardiac surgery and was told by his doctor that a vegetarian diet would extend his life and help him better than anything else to control his cholesterol. My mother was more interested in being a vegetarian because of the conditions stock animals are subjected to in our world (in life and in death), and because of the medications the animals are given, and now too because of all the engineering. And I am a vegetarian in my heart more than in consistent practice, though I always desire to be more consistent because I do believe it is the best thing for me, and I know its the best thing for the animals and the environment.

I like this website and I recommend it to anyone willing to open their mind to reading what this society has to say. Check it out yourself. Mull what is there over in your mind. Think about it. Talk about it. It won't hurt you to hear about opting out of the system that kills animals so you can eat.

Pros: lots to study and learn, lots to think about, help in learning to convert to a veg. diet
