Love-A-Stray

We are in the process of adopting a dog through Love A Stray. We have talked with two adoption consultants about two dogs. They each took all the time we needed while visiting to be sure that we found the right dog for us. There was no pressure to adopt a specific dog, because they are a no kill shelter, each dog will find the perfect home and time will be taken to be sure that all goes well. They support the family for the life of the dog. If the situation changes and you can no longer keep the dog, they require that the dog be returned to them. The volunteers we've worked with truly love each animal and want the best for them. They have also not sugar coated the dog's behaviors and explained any possible problem behaviors. They even have a trainer that volunteers his time for these dogs and their new families.

Pros: Most of their dogs are placed in foster homes so you know how they do in a home.

This org goes above and beyond to help animals.
They put on some really great fundraisers and I urge all to support their efforts.
