I recently contacted Critter Calvary Rescue because of the wonderful selection and number of "critters" available according to an internet search. In fact that particular shelter had many more to choose from than other shelters in the Middle Tennessee area. I called on a Saturday evening expecting to get a machine that will tell me the hours. To my surprise a one "Candace" picked up! A+ for availability. What a wonderful shelter to have an available representative on a Saturday night! I then proceeded to ask about the shelter and their adoption process. Before answering my question Candace asked me a bit about myself. I told her I was looking for a somewhat active dog; medium sized, and explained the type of dogs my family owned in the past. Without any explanation Candace replied "We don't have anything for you." I remind you, she never supplied any information about the shelter or any help as to what type of dog matched what I'm looking for. Her one line response was shocking and leads me to think she spends more time with animals than people, or so her demeanor implies. I guess regardless of the selection, unfriendly and unhelpful staff does not aid in the adoption process. Way to go Critter Calvary!
